What Practitioners Say

Porträt Kerstin Erdbürger

Kerstin Erdbürger

Licensed Practitioner of Psychotherapy, Holistic Therapy & Coaching

This training sharpened my perception and enabled me to recognize subtle signals and find effective solutions. I learned to unite sensitivity and inner strength, which expanded my therapeutic possibilities. My understanding of the subtle levels and, for example, the awareness of the ‘space behind’ has created a new atmosphere in my practice – one that allows for deeper therapeutic outcomes.

Gunnar Leschenar

Occupational Therapy Leschenar (“the Darth Vader of therapy – just nice!”)

Subtle Body Balance allows me to work with patients on an entirely new, deeper level – especially in complex cases such as anxiety disorders, lack of drive, and depression, which are often difficult to address with conventional approaches and are frequently treated only symptomatically. For instance, one of my patients with severe self-doubt and anxiety alongside depression made remarkable progress in a short time – progress that might otherwise have taken years.

This method has supported both my professional development and my personal growth. It is astonishing how Subtle Body Balance offers an entirely new point of access and has brought about a genuine shift in my therapeutic approach. What used to feel like surface-level treatment has become true in-depth work. Integrating the subtle body into my therapeutic work has significantly improved treatment outcomes and my own well-being. After treatments, I feel more balanced, calm, and confident.

The best thing that has happened to me so far.
As a licensed osteopath in private practice since 2004, this method fulfilled a long-standing wish. It offers a profound way to support people in reconnecting with themselves. With Subtle Body Balance, ‘being whole’ takes on an entirely new meaning.

With over 60 years of life and professional experience, I experience Subtle Body Balance – in its remarkable simplicity – as a meaningful (and based on my first experiences, even necessary) complement to established therapeutic approaches. Since offering SBB treatments, I feel more balanced and capable than I have in a long time.

Why Should Therapists Integrate This Method?

Expand your therapeutic repertoire with a scientifically validated and demonstrably effective approach

What does the method offer your patients?

In today’s world characterized by constant stimulation and stress, many people feel trapped in an endless loop of thoughts with no off switch.

Subtle Body Balance activates the subtle body – an often-overlooked resource for well-being. Patients regain inner balance and strength.

The effects include improved performance, restorative sleep, activated self-healing capacities, and deep inner calm.

A Unique Method

An original approach not derived from other therapeutic traditions – based on more than 30 years of original research.

A new dimension of support

Learn to use your own subtle body to support the subtle body of your patients – an ability that is truly unique.

Integrative impact

Address stress, exhaustion, sleep disturbances, and inner restlessness at a fundamental level.

Scientifically validated

HRV-studies confirm its effectiveness – deep relaxation combined with activation of physical and mental capacities.

An Investment in Your Professional Future

Training starts at €3,700 (plus VAT).
Installment plans are available.

What makes this method truly unique

You learn how to support the subtle body of your patients – an ability that, to our knowledge, is not taught anywhere else.

The treatment involves no physical touch – you work exclusively on the subtle level, which you learn to perceive and influence directly.

The Subtle Body Balance Treatment in Practice

Subtle Body Balance can be offered as a standalone treatment or integrated seamlessly into existing therapeutic approaches.

The method is easy to implement and highly effective.

It expands your service portfolio and provides a clear point of differentiation for your practice – supporting long-term patient and client relationships and encouraging referrals.

After successfully completing the program, you can apply this new method immediately in your practice.

The treatment consists of three core areas:

  1. Teaching knowledge about the subtle body
  2. Exercises patients learn and apply independently
  3. Hands-on work at the treatment table

The exercises can be understood as a new form of mindfulness or awareness training. They help gain access to the subtle body. As perception of the subtle body deepens, the mind settles naturally. Inner balance and presence emerge.

During work at the treatment table, the therapist activates and balances the patient’s subtle body using the hands, without touching the physical body.
Patients develop a direct awareness of their subtle body, often experienced as a warm, vibrant field surrounding the entire body.

We recommend a series of three 40-minute treatments.

Ronald Goethert

Science and the Subtle Dimension

The effects of Subtle Body Balance are validated through heart rate variability (HRV) measurements.
Dr. Alfred Lohninger, MD, one of the leading HRV experts in the German-speaking world, provides scientific oversight.

His team at Autonom Health analyzed extensive long-term HRV measurements recorded during Subtle Body Balance treatments.

Heart rate variability (HRV) is regarded as an objective indicator of autonomic nervous system function and has been used in medical practice for over 60 years.

More than 50,000 scientific publications on HRV exist in medical research.

Heart rate lower than during sleep

Average heart rate during SBB: 44 bpm (lower than during deep sleep at 48 bpm)

Highest HRV values

HRV during SBB is 124% above the daily average – highest value measured across the entire recording period

Maximum vagus activation

Vagal activity 270% above the daily average, exceeding even sleep values

A unique constellation

Deep relaxation AND simultaneous system-wide activation with maximum physiological efficiency

Comparison: Subtle Body Balance-Treatment vs. Deep Sleep

5-minute segments with an identical average heart rate of 45 beats per minute

MeasurementSBB treatment table (12:15-12:20)Deep Sleep (00:30-00:35)
Average heart rate45 bpm45 bpm
Minimum heart rate37 bpm39 bpm
Total Power (overall HRV)10.844 msec22.754 msec2
pNN50 (vagus marker)57%47%

Particularly noteworthy:

Total Power (overall HRV) is 3.5 times higher during SBB than during deep sleep. Unlike sleep, where sympathetic activity decreases, SBB shows activation of the entire system combined with maximum efficiency.

The measured data reveal a remarkable combination of profound relaxation and simultaneous system activation. While individual effects may vary, the findings clearly demonstrate measurable effects on the autonomic nervous system.

Dr. Alfred Lohninger, MD

Medical Director, Autonom Health

  • Board-certified gynecologist with 30 years of clinical experience
  • 20 years of research in clinical HRV application
  • Author of a standard HRV reference value
  • Database of nearly 100,000 long-term HRV recordings
  • Over 1,000 trained HRV experts

Dr. Lohninger's conclusion

An HRV constellation that, to the best of my knowledge, has never before been observed in such a pronounced form with any other exercise, technique, or therapy.

Limitations of the Method

Subtle Body Balance is a valuable complementary approach

Where SBB reaches its limits
  • In acute psychiatric crises (medical care takes priority)
  • With individuals not open to subtle-body-based approaches
  • As a substitute for necessary medical diagnostics
  • In cases of structural physical conditions (e.g., acute injuries)
Responsible application
  • As a trained professional, you remain within your professional scope of practice
  • SBB expands but does not replace your professional expertise
  • The method is intended as a complement to existing therapeutic approaches

Important: Subtle Body Balance does not replace medical or psychotherapeutic treatment for diagnosed conditions. It is intended as an adjunct.

It is particularly well-suited for individuals experiencing chronic stress, exhaustion, psychosomatic complaints, or transitional life phases.
It offers an additional point of access for issues where conventional approaches may sometimes reach their limits.

What Participants Say

Gunnar Leschenar

Occupational Therapy Leschenar (“the Darth Vader of therapy – just nice!”)

I left this training not only relaxed on the surface, but deeply relaxed – and learned something meaningful along the way.

Ronald Goethert’s individual guidance and support were remarkable. Over the past 25 years, I have completed numerous trainings in a wide range of therapeutic methods, most of which focused primarily on the patient. Here, however, I truly gained something – both for myself and for my patients – through hands-on practice.
You enter a new field of work and professionalize within your therapeutic profession. By the end of the training, you are fully prepared for practical application.
Although I was initially skeptical about whether the high cost of the training was justified, it quickly became clear that the quality of the content fully justifies the price.

Anika Tanz

Occupational Therapist

I experienced the Subtle Body Balance training as an instructive, engaging, and enriching period during which I was able to grow personally and learn a unique form of treatment that, in my view, represents a valuable addition for every one of us.
I finally have the opportunity to integrate the subtle dimension into my work as an occupational therapist and help patients achieve greater subtle-body health. For me, this completes my work as an occupational therapist.

By integrating Subtle Body Balance into my professional toolkit, I have gained a deeper appreciation for my work and feel much clearer about my path.
The training led to inner changes that opened doors to collaborations and opportunities aligned with my deepest aspirations.
I feel encouraged to integrate Subtle Body Balance as a foundational basis in my practice and even to apply it within other therapeutic approaches. It serves as a door opener to further therapeutic methods and has produced noticeable change even in cases of acute physical pain in my patients.

For anyone seeking a profound, expanding, and practice-oriented advanced training, I can highly recommend the Subtle Body Balance program. It is a key that opens doors to deeper understanding of one’s work and to expanded professional competence.

Anke Ramstein

Subtle Body Balance-Practitioner, Lenzburg, Schweiz

The Subtle Body Balance training was a great enrichment. Through the way the content was taught, the knowledge could not only be understood, but immediately experienced – and it was from this experience that the work emerged. A deep sense of stability and self-confidence developed. This experience enables me to apply the therapy independently and consciously.

I feel that I have grown not only professionally, but also personally. I feel more awake, attentive, aware, and free – both in my own development and in supporting my patients.
A new sense of life has emerged, characterized by confidence, joy, and lightness. Relationships are more relaxed, I am increasingly able to be myself, and I know what suits me and what does not.

I can highly recommend the training.

P

Personal communication

There was a very pleasant atmosphere under Ronald Goethert’s guidance – small group size, plenty of space for questions and practice. The seminar location and surroundings also contributed to a sense of well-being. The training enriched me deeply.

Stefanie W.

Physiotherapist

In the past, after a day in my practice, I usually wanted to withdraw and be left alone.
Today, [...] my energy easily carries me through the additional physiotherapy treatments.

P

Personal communication

The structure of the treatment and of the training itself convinced me completely. The clear structure and well-thought-out progression of the program are very supportive. They create stability – within which real freedom can emerge.

Do I need a special setting to apply this method?

No. Subtle Body Balance can be integrated into existing practice spaces.

I have worked physically for years. Can I work with the subtle body?
Yes. Anyone can learn this method to work with patients on a deeper level, complementing conventional therapy.
